Light Up the Stage Capital Campaign
The Winthrop Performing Arts Center (PAC) is launching the Light Up the Stage Capital Campaign, an initiative to replace the PAC’s existing stage lighting, installed when the facility was built around 2004, with modern, energy-efficient LED lighting.
The new lighting system will provide energy savings, expanded artistic capabilities, and hands-on learning opportunities for students, particularly those participating in the new Tech Theatre program. Updated, industry-standard equipment will give students valuable experience with the technology used in today’s performing arts settings while also enhancing the PAC for performances and community rentals.
The campaign has a $105,000 fundraising goal by Fall 2027. Funding will come through grants, community donations, support from Winthrop Public Schools, and fundraising events. The district has established an online donation page through Zeffy where community members can learn more and contribute to the campaign.
